Through the slight prodding I've recently received, I'll try to update this a bit regularly at least while I'm in Africa. Strangely enough it is when I am in the third world of West Central Africa, that I am most connected to technology and the toys of the first world.
As I sit here at 7 am, in my circa 1950's Spanish built office building, I am awaiting the imminent call of our safety staff for an oil spill drill. It's quite an annoying drill, but much like our elementary school fire drills it does break up the day a bit. I was called into the office at 6 am today due to I had a dead satellite modem... should make it interesting.
peace for now.

Kudos to my brother D. for encouraging me to start posting my thoughts for all to see.
